About Fargo-Moorhead
In the past five years, the twin cities of Fargo, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn., have become one of the hottest young boomtowns in America. "Money" magazine named Fargo-Moorhead one of its top 10 cities in which to start a business or get a job, and the Los Angeles Times described the "other" twin cities as improbably stylish, worldly, even luxurious.
Like Concordia itself, Fargo-Moorhead is a friendly, safe community with a young, exciting arts and entertainment scene. We have museums and galleries, historic movie theaters and playhouses, tons of restaurants, clubs and bars, symphonies and operas, sports teams, family-friendly outdoor festivals and plenty of shopping.
There are more than 20,000 college students in Fargo-Moorhead, and they know how to have fun. They love to hang out at the old-fashioned soda fountain in the retro Zandbroz Variety Store, go swing dancing at the Avalon Ballroom, watch $3 movies at the Safari Theater, go for long runs along the scenic Red River and generally eat way too much good pizza.
The Wall Street Journal calls Fargo-Moorhead - the largest metropolitan area between Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn., and Spokane, Wash. - an oasis of prosperity. That economic energy means great jobs for Concordia graduates and great internships for Concordia students.
But the best way to understand the excitement and beauty of Fargo-Moorhead and Concordia College is to come and see for yourself.
