What languages does Concordia offer?
Through Concordia and Tri-College University you may take a variety of world languages including
Spanish,
French,
Russian,
Norwegian,
German,
Latin, Japanese, Biblical Hebrew, Greek and now Mandarin Chinese.

Am I required to take a language?
As part of Concordia’s
Core Curriculum, you will need to take one full year of a world language. But it’s not just the language you’re experiencing. You’ll learn from first-rate faculty who have studied all over the globe. Exploring a new language and culture will help you gain an appreciation of other cultures while gaining insight into yourself and your place in the global community.

You’ve come to the right place. Concordia offers a wide range of opportunities for international education, no matter what your major is. These include weeklong Exploration Seminars, as well as semester and yearlong programs. Our
Office of Global Education will work with you to plan an exciting adventure from within North America and beyond.

What is Concordia Language Villages and how can I get involved?
Concordia Language Villages is an internationally recognized program that gives children and adults the exciting opportunity to explore a language either during the summer or academic year. The Villages offers 14 languages including Arabic, Chinese, Finnish, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Korean, German, French and more. Whether you want to visit the Villages for a special
College Weekend or become a language
counselor at one of the Villages, there are
plenty of ways to get involved.
