Global Languages
One of the best ways to enhance your global education is the study of another language and culture. Many of our students major or minor in one of the 11 languages offered at Concordia or through the Tri-College University system. Whether you’d like to eventually teach a language, pair it with another major to broaden your career opportunities or just appreciate how language study opens your mind to global issues, you’ll appreciate learning from our gifted professors. In an increasingly competitive world, we offer you the skills needed to find your place in a culturally and ethnically diverse society.
We currently offer the following global languages:
Spanish
French
Russian
Norwegian
German
Latin
Japanese
Hebrew (Biblical)
Greek
Italian
Mandarin Chinese
Our classroom language instruction is enhanced by many opportunities outside of class. From joining a language club, living in one of our international houses, working as a counselor at the renowned
Concordia Language Villages, traveling overseas or even attending an event sponsored by one of the language departments, you’ll find numerous ways to practice your global language and get the most out of your studies.
