Update the Jake Campaign
The number of Concordia students who have decided to be student-athletes continues to increase - in fact, It has nearly doubled in the last decade. The college now has 20 varsity sports and more than 700 student-athletes. The stadium locker rooms were built to accommodate 90 players. Now, more than 140 Cobber football players dress for home games, making the dressing rooms a tight squeeze. Locker room changes and other updates, including artificial turf and new seating, would also benefit the men’s and women’s soccer programs and the baseball program.
The plan for the project:
- Build a new locker room for the football team and women’s soccer team with improved facilities for equipment, laundry and training that will benefit all outdoor teams
- Install all-weather artificial turf for the football field
- Reconfigure the baseball diamond and install artificial turf to the infield
- Widen the soccer field and add bleacher seating
- Add lighting for the football field, which will allow Concordia to host more games, partner with the community and provide for greater intramural exposure
The cost for the renovations:

The reasons to invest in this facility:
Our students. We have amazing student-athletes with high expectations when choosing a college. While much of their college decision is based on the quality of our academic programs, students take pride in their athletic teams and the facilities they play in. State-of-the-art facilities are an important recruitment tool for student-athletes.
