*The division of the Language Villages recognizes Labor Day, instead of Independence Day as a holiday. Holiday pay and time off will coincide with the alternate Language Village's schedule.
Employees who qualify for the benefit and work the observed day will be eligible to take the day off at another time. If you are required to work on the actual holiday, you will receive time-and-one-half compensation for that day's work.
Actual Holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Easter Sunday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day*
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
SUPPORT STAFF
Additional 4 days, December 27 through December 30, 2011 . If an employee is required to work any of these days to meet the needs of the department, the employee can take time off at a different time. This time off is to be scheduled in accordance with the work needs of your department and arranged in advance with your supervisor.
One floating day for spring, mid-semester recess, to be taken during the week (February 27 through March 2, 2012). The floating day is to be scheduled in accordance with the work needs of your department and arranged in advance with your supervisor.
ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
Administrators are entitled to one floating holiday during spring, mid-semester recess to be taken during the week beginning February 25, 2012.
SUMMER HOURS
Business Hours will be 8:00 to 4:30 beginning May 2, 2011 and end August 12, 2011.
The 2011-2012 Events and Holiday Calendar was approved by the President's Cabinet on 05/02/2011.
