Concordia's laddered program aims to help prepare students for an increasingly complex information environment. Based on our information literacy application of Bloom's Hierarchy, we understand that in depth research assignments require students to function at the highest cognitive levels, synthesizing and evaluating new information to complete a paper or project. Therefore, librarians strive to integrate increasingly rigorous learning outcomes of information literacy through the core and through the majors.
Having students come to see library research as the academic norm is very important at Concordia.
