The receptionist at Concordia Language Villages' Moorhead office was recently recognized by a local radio station for her helpful demeanor.
It’s a cinch that Dianne Haugen, receptionist at the Concordia Language Villages office, will always remember Dec. 17, 2013.
That’s the day she was surprised with the gift of a gold ring for being the "nicest” person.
Haugen was chosen for the gift after a co-worker, Language Villages finance assistant Pam Heisler, submitted a short essay describing Haugen’s many helpful attributes to "The Froggy Morning Show with Collin and Mandy” on Froggy 99.9 FM. The radio station is promoting the “great people of Fargo-Moorhead” by giving away five rings to deserving people.
Heisler wrote that Haugen is the “nicest, most helpful person, who always wears a smile and is willing to help” no matter what the task might be. Heisler was especially touched by Haugen’s thoughtfulness to organize and send flowers when Heisler’s father recently passed away unexpectedly.
“Every office should have a Dianne,” says Heisler.
A little teary-eyed, Haugen selected one of the five rings provided by Schmidt’s Gems and Fine Jewelry in Fargo.
“It took me by complete surprise,” she says. “It’s been a pretty good week for me, one I’ll always remember.”
