No matter where you come from or where you are going, there is a place for you in God’s World. CMC works toward creating a community that nurtures a mutual growth in faith and intellect and cultivates Christian love and justice.
This small-group ministry meets on a weekly basis and there is no need to prepare. A variety of topics and interests will be explored through CMC Bible studies this year, and we would love to have you join us.
Habitat for Humanity
Put your faith into action while building homes and developing friendships at Concordia and across the nation. Volunteer opportunities in the Fargo-Moorhead area are available throughout the year, and opportunities to go on service trips across the nation are possible during spring break.
We provide you with the unique opportunity to travel during spring break to tackle social justice issues that we continuously face. Previous trips have been to Jamaica, Seattle, Mexico, New York City and Washington, D.C. Learn about issues that our world is faced with, while spending time together serving and bonding during a weeklong experience of a lifetime.
Outreach is a great opportunity for anyone who is excited to help others and share their God-given gifts and talents through service and ministry. Outreach is a two-fold ministry that includes community teams, who volunteer around the Fargo-Moorhead area, and congregational teams that travel to churches in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota to lead youth events or Sunday morning worship.
This organization provides the campus with the awareness of issues, both locally and globally, that today's world consistently faces. We have done fair-trade fundraisers, participated in a variety of awareness weeks and organized sustainable fashion shows.
Sunday Night @ Concordia
SN@C is a student-led worship service at 9 p.m. Sundays in Barry Auditorium in the Grant Center. The message is usually given by a student, and student-led worship bands provide the music.
Tab is an upbeat, camp-style worship at 9 p.m. Thursdays in the Wall Student Lounge, located above the Korn Krib in the Knutson Campus Center. Student-led and informal, Tabernacle includes lots of music and a short devotional. If you play an instrument, feel free to bring it and join in.
