Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We are writing to let you know that while the CDC updated guidelines for quarantine and isolation for the general population, we are awaiting additional guidance from the CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health for institutions of higher education before changing our policies.

Until we receive new guidance, the college will continue its current operation, outlined on the COVID Response page. We will update you with changes.

As a reminder, we are strongly recommending you test before returning to campus and again within 72 hours of your return. Our goal is to prevent as many cases as possible of the highly transmissible omicron variant.

If you test positive, students need to contact the Student Helpline at COVID19Helpline@cord.edu or 701.730.8304 for what to do next. Employees should contact Human Resources at 218.299.3339.

When you do return to campus, we encourage you to lay low and avoid large gatherings.

A classroom seating chart will be in order to more efficiently identify close contacts.

If it has been more than six months since you received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine series or two months from a Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the CDC recommends getting a booster shot. You can find a COVID-19 vaccine or booster near you by searching vaccines.gov, texting your ZIP code to 438829, or calling 1-800-232-0233.

We thank you for your vigilance and dedication to keeping our campus community safe.

Thank you,

COVID Response Group
