Preventative Measures
One of our key goals is to slow the spread of COVID-19 through preventative measures. These include frequent and proper handwashing, covering your cough, staying home when ill, maintaining 6 feet of physical distance whenever possible, and wearing face coverings when around others.
Campus Face Covering/Mask Policy
Everyone on campus will be required to comply with the Minnesota Governor's Executive Order on face coverings. Read more about where and when face coverings are needed and as well as exceptions.
COVID Daily Symptom Check
Students, faculty, and staff will be required to complete a self-wellness daily regardless if you intend to be campus. The electronic survey comes in student and employee e-mails daily.
COVID-19 Symptoms and Reporting
As indicated by the Minnesota Department of Health, common symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
- Fever/Chills
- Headache
- Muscle pain
- Sore throat
- Loss of taste or smell
Students: If you are experiencing these symptoms, call the Campus Medical Officer at 218.299.3652.
Employees: Alert your supervisor and Human Resources about your illness and contact your personal healthcare provider to determine next steps.

Reporting a Positive COVID-19 Test
Students: Call the COVID Student Helpline at 701.730.8304 AND Complete the COVID Daily Symptom Check to indicate you have received a lab-confirmed positive test.
Isolation and Quarantine
People who are ill, being tested for COVID-19, been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or have the virus themselves will need to remain away from the general population for a period of time. Learn more about the process of isolation or quarantine.
