April 20: Quarantine Guidance for Vaccinated or Recovered COVID-19
The Minnesota Department of Health is instructing people who have been vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 3-months to follow the CDC Travel Restrictions for travel quarantine. Those guidelines state that if you are within 3 months of recovering from COVID-19 or are fully vaccinated (2 weeks after your final vaccine dose) you no longer need to test or quarantine after traveling.
Fully vaccinated people or those who have recovered from COVID-19 within the last 90 days will not need to quarantine if they are a close contact with someone with COVID-19, provided they have no symptoms. They should still connect with Human Resources (employees) or the COVID Student Helpline (students) if they are a close contact with someone with COVID-19.
People who are vaccinated or have had COVID-19 must continue to mask and social distance in public spaces in the same manner they did prior to vaccination or having COVID-19.
