Here are some important updates as we close out the academic year.

Daily Symptom Check E-mail
We are suspending at least for the summer the expectation that all students and employees complete the daily symptom check every day. While you will no longer receive a daily email prompting you to complete the symptom check, you should still complete it if you have symptoms, are a close contact, or have tested positive for COVID. This will allow us to communicate next steps in such situations. The daily symptom check can continue to be found here. Please continue to do the Daily Symptom Check each day through May 2.

We understand. We are all tired of it. However even if vaccinated, we still must mask and distance with others in the workplace. This might change if we get new guidance from Minnesota Department of Health, but for now we need to continue this practice.

VAULT Testing Site
The hours for the VAULT Testing Site have changed.

On-Campus Students

  • Students who live on-campus
  • Students who work on-campus
  • Students who take in-person classes
  • Students who come on campus/use facilities (Olson, Memorial, etc)

Daily Symptom Check: you will not receive a daily email. Instead, self-monitor for symptoms each day. If symptomatic, a close contact, or have a positive test, complete the Daily Symptom Check. Then call the COVID Student Helpline. (Note: Complete the check through May 2.)

Quarantine/Isolation: support for this is available through the COVID Student Helpline

Reporting a positive COVID test or Close Contact: call COVID Student Helpline for next steps

Off-Campus Students
If you do not engage with the campus over the summer at all (see above for examples of what is considered engagement with campus), you do not need to report positive cases or Close Contacts to the COVID Student Helpline.

If you have COVID-related questions, we encourage you to use health care resources in your local community. If you are unsure how to contact those resources, you can call the COVID Student Helpline for assistance.
