Nov. 9: Testing and Flu Shots
In the past week, North Dakota and Minnesota have had record numbers of COVID cases. (See this chart for how numbers have swelled.) Gatherings are being identified as one of the key areas of spread – and these aren’t only large gatherings. At a news conference today, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced additional saliva testing sites around Minnesota and indicated more people, especially in the 18-34 year old category, need to be tested to slow the spread.
Moorhead is fortunate to have a saliva test site only blocks from campus. Testing is free and you do not need to have symptoms to be tested.

Students: If you are symptomatic call the Campus Medical Officer (218) 299-3652.
Regardless of where you get tested, contact the COVID Student Helpline (701) 730-8304 if you:
1) have a positive test result
2) find out you are a close contact (within 6 feet of an infected person for 15 minutes or more in a 24-hour period)
3) are confused about where to test, or what to do afterward.
Flu shots are now available through the Campus Medical Officer. All you need is your health insurance card and identification. Please call ahead (218) 299-3652 to be sure the medical officer will be available to administer the shot as students with COVID symptoms are given priority.
