Campus Vehicle Fleet
When new vehicles are acquired for the campus fleet, efforts are made to purchase models with either a hybrid or flex-fuel option.
Concordia has two Global Electric Motorcars in its fleet of on-campus vehicles. These two cars operate on battery-electric power and can be used for a variety of tasks. When the GEM cars are not being used elsewhere on campus, the Physical Plant employees use them for their projects on campus.
Buildings and Grounds Transportation
Facilities Management employees now rely on pedal power to travel to their on-campus work destinations. The modified bicycles allow for trades staff to carry necessary tools (even a ladder) to worksites within the campus boundaries.
New bus route: Campus to Minneapolis
As a result of the Transportation Working Group’s efforts, Concordia College joined the Jefferson Lines College Connection network with the addition of a campus bus stop direct to Minneapolis.
