OSB: Leadership Cohort
The Leadership Cohort will welcome up to 20 specially designated new students entering Concordia and the Offutt School of Business in Fall 2022. These students will meet regularly to learn about the ongoing challenges and emerging opportunities in the modern American workplace. The Leadership Cohort will also have regular and direct access to Mr. Chris Mason, dean of the Offutt School of Business at Concordia. This access will provide new students an opportunity to voice questions about the Offutt School of Business and provide suggestions regarding emerging student interests and opportunities in studying business within the Offutt School.
Benefits of the Program:
- Members of the cohort will be provided individual mentors who are Concordia grads or friends of the Offutt School of Business. These mentors come from work and leadership roles in a variety of professional sectors of business.
- The cohort will also be invited to attend special guest lectures and training programs on campus. Additionally, this cohort will be provided opportunities to learn about their own personality types and leadership strengths through strength inventories, surveys, and exploration exercises.
- Each member will also have close guidance in selecting and experiencing their Pivotal Experience in Applied Knowledge (PEAK) learning opportunity. This PEAK experience can be a professional internship, research opportunity, or volunteer project that develops the student’s skills and experience. These experiences and skills will assist cohort members in applying for their first jobs and career opportunities upon graduation.
