Through May Seminars, summer study abroad, semester-long programs, and spring break Exploration Seminars, students have traveled to important sites around the world, including London, Athens, Prague, Paris, Dublin, Rome, Madrid, New York, Costa Rica, Norway, Estonia and even the North Pole! Students have visited some of the most important theatres, media and historic communication sites in the world. They have participated in performance projects, media productions and research projects on site, creating opportunities unique to Concordia students.
As a leader in integrative learning, the CSTA department is in the process of developing a plan for PEAK opportunities that will push even further into off-campus programming, allowing students to travel and to observe people in the world as they solve problems and respond to important challenges. For example, a documentary film course has students producing their own films on social issues and concerns allowing them to BREW, or Become Responsibly Engaged in the World. Look for CSTA to be providing more opportunities for integrative learning in the near future.
