To become registered in clinical laboratory science, you must:
- complete the preprofessional curriculum at Concordia College
- complete the clinical training at an accredited school of clinical laboratory science
- pass a national certification examination
Concordia is affiliated with the School of Clinical Laboratory Science at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, N.D., and many Concordia students choose to complete their internship training here during their senior year of college. Others choose to complete four years at Concordia and fulfill the clinical training experience.
The clinical internship at Sanford Medical Center is competitive and Concordia students are not guaranteed an internship. However, Concordia students have been very successful in obtaining internship positions.
Upon successful completion of the clinical internship training, you will be awarded the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in clinical laboratory science from Concordia College.
