English Teacher Volunteer, Nicaragua
Global Studies and Spanish Major; Business Minor
I studied abroad in Argentina where I learned so much about myself, Argentine culture, the Spanish language, and stepped outside of my comfort zone every day. My internship at CHARISM, on the other hand, was great because it was so professionally defining. I gained experienced in a job situation and learned a lot about what kind of work I enjoy and what I'm good at. With my Fuel the Fire internship, I experienced how to plan and implement an event. I had to make decisions, lead different people, and manage many details.

Spanish and Psychology Major
Concordia has great study abroad programs here for Spain. Most colleges make you pay extra to study abroad, but at Concordia, it's the same tuition as you pay here plus a round-trip ticket. The Spanish professors are from different parts of the world, which exposes us to different accents and different cultures.
