The United States is a global leader in agricultural production. But for many, agriculture starts with family and small business roots. With the right skill set and experience, farmers can be positioned to grow their operations and make a lasting impact for more than just the next generation.

That’s where you come in. What if you could learn business skills, coupled with a deep knowledge of the agricultural industry? What if you can understand the heart of one of America’s largest industries and create a career around helping the families and small businesses affected by it?

From farm to finance, and everything in between, a business major with a concentration in agribusiness from the Offutt School of Business will help you solve issues in the agricultural space.

An Industry on the Brink

Industry leaders predict that by the year 2050 the global agricultural industry will have to double production in order to feed the world’s 9 billion people. Technology has also greatly impacted the industry, streamlining processes and removing many of the manual aspects of farmers’ day-to-day work. It’s an exciting time to be part of the agricultural community.

It’s also a scary time as many face increasing regulation and drastic climate shifts, leading to shortened or limited production. Much of what happens on a farm may be largely out of the owner’s control. How then can they run a business and make an impact?

The Offutt School of Business Difference

The Offutt School of Business seeks to prepare students for these types of challenges and triumphs as they work in the agricultural industry.
