Pre-Law Lecture Series

Concordia sponsors a yearly law-related lecture series. Each spring, a prominent speaker visits campus to address matters of law in a public forum. Recent speakers have been a federal judge, a U.S. attorney, and an immigration law specialist.  While lecture series events are open to the entire campus, they serve as an opportunity for pre-law students in particular to engage each other on issues of legal significance.

Pre-Law Society

The Pre-Law Society (PLS) is a Concordia student group that provides opportunities for students to share their interest in the law and promote consideration of legal career paths. The PLS routinely hosts law school admission officer visits, sponsors panel discussions by area attorneys, and organizes LSAT study sessions.

Job Shadowing Opportunities

Through the college’s Career Center, Concordia students can sign up for job shadowing opportunities with area law firms. Spending time observing lawyers in the workplace provides a better understanding of the legal profession while helping students to see whether a legal career is right for them.
