Classes will convene at COSS, and athletic practices, ensemble rehearsals, co-curricular meetings and other regularly scheduled activities will be suspended during COSS to promote participation in, and attendance at, the event by all students, faculty, and staff. This is the same practice as during the fall Faith, Reason, and World Affairs Symposium in the fall.

7:45 a.m. – Registration Opens and Morning Refreshments | Memorial Auditorium
8:10 a.m. – Welcome, Opening Remarks, and Awards | Memorial Auditorium
Enjoy coffee and a caramel roll, and stop by the registration table. After a brief welcome, the Inquiry Paper Award, Library Exemplary Research Award, the Pamela M. Jolicoeur Endowed Memorial Scholarship, and the Faculty Mentor Award will be presented.
8:30-9:30 a.m. – Poster Session 1 | Memorial Auditorium
A poster session provides an opportunity for researchers and their audience to communicate about the scholarly work, using a large format poster to summarize their findings. Posters may range in format type, appropriate for various disciplines.
9:45-10:45 a.m. – Concurrent Session 1 | various campus locations
Concurrent sessions include multidisciplinary presentations that take various forms. In many cases, students will give a 15-minute oral presentation describing their scholarly work. Sessions may also include brief performances, videos, and artistic demonstrations. Each presentation will be followed by a 5-minute question-and-answer period.

12:15-1:45 p.m. – Department and Program Sessions, Lunch Break | various campus locations
Fifteen Departments are holding sessions involving alumni speakers, honor society inductions or student presentations.
12:15-1:45 p.m. – Career Resource Tables | Knutson Campus Center Atrium
Career Center staff will be available to assist students in articulating skills gained from research experiences on CVs, resumes, cover letters, and personal statements. Students may bring drafts of their documents or stop by for tips on getting started. Refreshments provided.
2:00-3:00 p.m. – Concurrent Session 3 | various campus locations
More oral presentations, brief performances and artistic demonstrations.
3:15-3:30 p.m. – Prizes | Memorial Auditorium
Participate in COSS Quest to be eligible for prizes.
3:30-4:30 p.m. – Poster Session 2 | Memorial Auditorium
More students will share their scholarly work in a poster format.
