What to do while on campus:
In order to make your visit worthwhile, we encourage you to take the time to explore your interests on campus. The best way to learn about the Cobber community is to ask many questions. Your weekday Concordia College campus visit experience may begin at 9, 10 or 11 a.m. or 1 or 2 p.m.
Take a Campus Tour – approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes
Enjoy a personalized student-led tour on campus. Every tour includes an in-depth look at the active and bustling Knutson Campus Center, the peaceful and informative Carl B. Ylvisaker Library, the brand new innovative Offutt School of Business, student residence halls and much more. Our student ambassadors are well versed in the history and depth of Concordia's campus. They love to get asked about their favorite locations on campus and what exactly life is like as a Cobber.
Visit with an Admission Representative – approximately 30 minutes
Our friendly and resourceful admissions representatives are here for you. They want to know what exactly you're searching for in a college and how we can best fit your needs. This one-on-one time is the perfect opportunity to ask questions about scholarships, financial aid, studying abroad, and the admission process.
Meet with a Faculty Member, Coach or Music Instructor – approximately 30 minutes each
One of the benefits of a liberal arts experience is the ability to interact with many areas on campus. If you have a certain interest, we can connect you with members in that area to ask further questions. The faculty and staff on campus are always eager to meet prospective Cobbers and hope they can help in many ways.
If you'd like to observe a music rehearsal, check out the ensemble rehearsal schedule. Be sure to bring your instrument for an opportunity to play or sing with the band, choir, or orchestra! Ensemble Rehearsals
Attend and observe a class – approximately 70 to 90 minutes
Almost all departments have classes available for students to observe. Witness firsthand the academic rigor and enthusiasm in our classrooms. The faculty challenge students to think outside the box and are eager to have you jump into the conversation. Classes are available Monday through Friday. Monday, Wednesday and Friday classes run for 70 minutes and are best to attend. Tuesday and Thursday classes last 90 minutes but are available if a student would like to attend.
Stay overnight with a student host – Available most Sunday nights through Thursday nights
One of the best ways to experience life as a college student is to stay overnight in one of our many residence halls. Overnight visits are only available when school is in session and are offered Sunday night through Thursday night. If you can only stay overnight Friday or Saturday night, please call our office to work out an arrangement.
