A message from Concordia's Admission Office

With many K-12 schools in our region and beyond closed given the current situation, the Admission Office both understands and acknowledges how challenging this time is for prospective students. Whether you are just starting your college search or looking to make a choice for your new home this fall, we want to provide you with helpful answers and guidance to your questions.

General FAQs

Our office is currently closed to campus visitors. In-person visits have been suspended through the remainder of the semester.

However, we are offering daily virtual Concordia information sessions for students looking to know more about our campus. These are tailored to all students who are not yet admitted to Concordia.

For admitted students, we will be hosting a Virtual Admitted Student Event on March 27 at 2 p.m.

Details + Registration

Join members of the admission team as well as campus partners and current students for an online panel. Questions can be taken directly via Zoom or by email. This is a great format to have those last minute questions answered before you make your final decision.

Yes, our office is still processing applications as they arrive. Admission decisions are still being made and will be mailed out on a daily basis. Questions related to your individual application status may be directed to your admission rep or admissions@cord.edu.

You can contact your admission rep by text, phone, or virtually on Zoom. Each rep is working to contact their admitted students directly, but you can also find your rep and their contact information.

The Concordia community is practicing social distancing, but you can participate in our virtual ministry during this time.

COVID-19: One Cobber's Response

To the Concordia College Community,

In the last week, we as Cobbers have experienced groundbreaking news, and have entered uncharted waters. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, I feel that it is important to remember what makes us Cobbers: Becoming Responsibly Engaged in the World. For many of us, this news has made us realize that we are living in the real world. Now is the time to unify, to come together and be there for one another.

Being there for each other doesn't have to mean taking extreme measures. Being there for each other is as simple as washing your hands for the person you don't know next to you. It can be calling a friend or a loved one and asking them if they are okay. Ultimately, you yourself can decide what it means to be responsibly engaged in the world at this time. I encourage each and every one of you to reflect on what this means for you.

We have been fortunate enough to have the Emergency Response Team monitoring the situation in Minnesota, its impact on higher education, all while looking at what is best for our community. For that, on behalf of the student body, I thank the ERT for their continuous hard work and their courage to take on such a difficult task.

Cobbers, as we continue to watch the world, remember that you are a part of it. It is up to us to do everything in our power to put in our part.

In solidarity,
Sara Areli Villalobos '20
