The trip begins in the flatlands bordering Brittany and Normandy along the estuary where the green of the ocean merges with the blue of the sky. Shortly after, we'll tour one of the marvels of the western world: Mont St. Michel Abbey– fortress and pilgrimage site for centuries. Cradled by the sea, the abbey is still as hypnotizing as it was in medieval times. We'll then cycle through the landscape to the coastal areas of northern Normandy. The second half of the trip holds the remnants of World War II: Utah and Omaha beach, Ponte du Hoc, and the American Cemetery and Bayeux, a wonderful historical town.
