Abhijit Ghosh joined Concordia College’s Offutt School of Business in 2013. Dr. Ghosh graduated from McGill University with a Ph.D. degree in Strategy and Organization.
Dr. Ghosh’s research focuses on the implications of embeddedness of strategy on the evolution of social enterprises. His main areas of research interest are strategy process and social entrepreneurship. His research has been funded by the International Development Research Centre, Canada, by the Canadian International Development Agency and by ILO’s South-South Fellowship. He has been a Visiting Scholar at India’s prestigious Institute of Rural Management, Anand, India.
Dr. Ghosh has presented papers at various international conferences like the Academy of Management, the European Group for Organizational Studies, and most recently, at the United Nations inaugural conference on the Potential and Limits of Social and Solidarity Economy co-hosted by UNRISD and ILO in Geneva, Switzerland. His ongoing global research explores various strategies for social enterprises. He has recently been invited to be a member of the Scientific Committee of the Mont-Blanc Meetings in Chamonix, France – an international forum dedicated to social economy entrepreneurs.
