Assistant Professor of Marketing
Susan Geib is currently directing the development of Concordia’s Executive Education program that combines prominent industry and academic expertise to elevate mid-career managers to senior leadership circles. She brings extensive experience to the Offutt School of Business from the private and non-profit sectors as well as academic circles. Geib previously taught global marketing and cross-cultural management at Concordia. Prior to Concordia, she held several positions including co-founder and executive director of the North Dakota Trade Office where state exports tripled under her leadership, 15 years with Great Plains Software/Microsoft ultimately as vice president of international business and managing director of Asian Operations in Singapore, and an early career in consumer marketing at Leo Burnett advertising agency as account executive on the Nestle and Proctor & Gamble business, and several years in brand management for Kraft Inc. She has held prior teaching positions at Minnesota State University Moorhead and Tianjin University in China.
She has experience conducting emerging markets’ economic development research and consulting to the private and public sectors on international expansion and non-profit marketing.

Geib takes an experiential approach to teaching, pairing students with live company projects that ultimately lead to internships. This has been extended to Concordia’s Executive Education program where participants submit leadership challenges to instructors who provide insight, examples, and coaching to solve real-world problems.
