Where did you grow up?
Staples, Minnesota
Where did you attend college and what did you study?
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and communications studies & theatre art from Concordia College in 2022. I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2026.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Meeting students and their families! I love building relationships and learning more about the people I work with. I really value authenticity and do my best to meet every person where they’re at.
Favorite little-known fact about Concordia?
The Concordia Theatre program has a different guest director for the musical every fall who has worked in professional theatre. It’s an awesome opportunity for students to learn from someone with current, real-world experience.
Outside of Concordia, what do you enjoy doing?
I love spending time with my family and friends and am pretty involved in my church. I’m also a big fan of theatre and music, so I’ll usually be watching or participating in something involving those.
Advice for high school students?
Challenge yourself to be uncomfortable. Growth happens in the moments we step out of our comfort zone, and more often than not you end up pleasantly surprising yourself.
