Dr. Gompf’s passion is connecting people to business strategy through development, coaching, and the use of emotional intelligence. She excelled at this in executive roles serving major industries prior to joining the faculty at Concordia College. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in her nearly 20 years of service in the following industries: Technology – Microsoft, Healthcare – Innovis Health (now Essentia), Catholic Health Initiatives, Douglas County Hospital, and professional services in engineering, law, and business consulting – Ulteig Engineers, Vogel Law Firm, Strategic Evolution, LLC.

Dr. Gompf believes that the best teachers are passionate about what they teach and are dedicated to see success in their students. She truly believes in role modeling leadership competencies that the students can observe and work to develop to prepare for the diverse, fast-paced, ever-changing industry of healthcare. She works to keep content up to date, applicable and rigorous through the use of journal reviews, case study analysis, and peer-reviewed work. She stresses the importance of excellence in both oral and written communication as well as interpersonal communication through the use of group projects, oral exams, and research. Her application-based teaching style is apparent in each class period as she brings the theories and concepts to life through her own experiences. She continues to maintain her healthcare and business knowledge through continuing education, is a frequent lecturer at local, regional and national conferences, and serves the business community through her leadership on boards of directors and business consulting.
