The services and programs provided under the Dean's Office are intended to help deliver an integrated student-learning environment and to enhance the total learning experience at Concordia.
Reporting to the Dean of the College are Academic Affairs, academic divisions, the Offutt School of Business, Library, Global Learning, Concordia Language Villages, Foundation Relations & Research Grants and Information Technology Services.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of the College is the Credo Honors Program and Undergraduate Research.
Dean Eric Eliason
Dr. Eric Eliason began his duties as Dean of the College and Vice President for Academic Affairs on August 1, 2013.
Eliason previously served as professor of English at Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minn., where he was on the faculty from 1989 to 2013. He served as interim dean of the faculty from 2005 to 2007, and then as academic dean from 2007 to 2009.
A specialist in 14th-century British literature, Eliason has twice been formally recognized for his excellence in teaching.
At Gustavus, he led major projects to successful conclusions, including the new social science building. In 2011, he served as program director and instructor in Gustavus' Semester in Sweden program.
Eliason is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Augustana College (Ill.) with majors in English, mathematics and computer science. He earned his master’s and doctorate degree in English language and literature from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.
