An internship is any work experience that can be paid or unpaid and is typically offered by a business to a student.
Here at Concordia, when a student does an internship and would like to receive academic credit, our office will enroll them in Cooperative Education, renaming their internship to a "co-op" for 1-8 credits in their major.
We encourage all students to participate in internships during their years at Concordia, as having that position to add to your resume in addition to your activities will look great to employers.
You will use what you have learned in the classroom and apply it in the workforce, giving you valuable experience for your future career.
