I believe that studying abroad opens the door to a million more opportunities throughout life. Whether these come from Global Learning connections, relationships built abroad with international friends, or career-related opportunities, experiencing a different way of life and discovering how and what you think about the current world order, social issues, etc. is invaluable to yourself as a human being and global citizen.
Studying abroad has been the basis of my college career. From beginning my adventures in Kigali, Rwanda, and continuing to San Jose, Costa Rica, and Bangalore, India, I have learned more about myself and the field of International Development than I possibly could have had I stayed in Moorhead. Concordia is filled with incredible faculty and staff that are constantly putting me in contact with more and different opportunities to greater strengthen and influence my character and education for the better. Because of my experiences abroad and the relationships I have developed internationally, I have been introduced to a variety of new and advanced career paths that I never would have imagined I could have achieved otherwise.
