Established on 11.08.2010 by Jean Palmer Herman

Charles E. “Chuck” Herman, a 1951 Concordia College alumnus, a former member of the Concordia Choir, and his wife, Jean Palmer Herman, longtime supporters of the Choir, sang with the Concordia Choir, in an appearance at Carnegie Hall. They traveled to New York City, with the Concordia Choir and Orchestra to witness premier performances of Memorial, written by the Choir’s director, Dr. Renè Clausen, in memory of victims of September 11, 2001, commissioned by the American Choir Director’s Association, for its 2003 biennial, national meeting.

The Charles E. Chuck '51 and Jean Palmer Herman Endowment is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid to Concordia Choir members who are chosen by the Concordia’s Choir conductor.
