Established on 11.25.2019 by Patricia '63 and John Carrow  †

Patricia (Johnson) Carow graduated from Concordia College in 1963 with a major in elementary education and a minor in sociology. Her first teaching job was in Silver Bay, MN, followed by five years in Fridley, MN. In 1966, she married John Carow and took a sabbatical from teaching to raise their family, which includes two children, Tracy and Bryan. Patricia and John are the proud grandparents of four grandchildren, Cassandra, Christian, Anna, and Tyler. Understanding the important role that elementary school teachers play in the lives of students, the Carow family is thrilled to establish this scholarship which encourages and supports the future elementary educators of our world.

The Johnson-Carow Family Endowed Scholarship is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid to students majoring in elementary education.
