This program gives you the chance to learn firsthand about current issues in developing countries. Students will be in contact with people who work every day to improve living conditions in India. Classes use an “action-reflection” model of learning. Each topic is introduced with an in-class orientation lecture series on broad themes on the subject as well as specific issues affecting local communities. Students also travel to selected sites to learn directly about the subject from and with people who are actually being affected, and those who are working as agents of change.
