What does this two-week camp cost?
The cost of the 13-day camp is only $600 and covers everything including housing, meals, music, and the week-long tour experience. If accepted, we ask for a $200 deposit by April 24th.

Do I need to be Lutheran?
Not at all! You just need to be open to rehearsing, performing, and studying biblical contexts with this choir that celebrates the musical tradition of the Lutheran church.
Do I need to live in Minnesota to sing in the choir?
No, and we hope to welcome students from all over the country for this experience. The Minnesota part of our mission will be lived out with our tour of Minnesota churches.
Where and when is check-in?
Check in will occur in the lobby of the Hvidsten Hall of Music on Sunday, June 10 between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Our first rehearsal begins at 2:15 p.m.
What should I pack for my week at Concordia College?
- casual clothing; this is Minnesota, so layers are good
- light coat
- shoes suitable for outdoor activity
- black pants for concerts
- black shoes for concerts
- sun screen
- cell phone and chargers are allowed
- electric fan
- water bottle
Is there a dress code for campus and while on tour?
Dress codes are tricky. In general, clothing should be modest, i.e. something you might wear to an outdoor worship service or your grandmother's birthday party.
What is included in the dorm room?
Each dorm room has two twin beds, sheets, pillow, a simple blanket and simple towel.
There are no laundry options while on campus. On tour, your host families will likely share their washer and dryer.
What is a typical day like?
- 8:00 a.m. – Breakfast
- 9:15 a.m. – Sung Morning Prayer
- 10:00 a.m. – Rehearsal
- 12:00 Noon – Lunch
- 1:15 p.m. – Rehearsal
- 3:00 p.m. – Free Time
- 5:30 p.m. – Dinner
- 7:00 p.m. – Rehearsal
- 9:00 p.m. – Community Time
Are cell phones allowed?
Yes, you may bring your cell phone, however, no use is allowed during rehearsal and some enrichment activities.
Can I pick my own roommate?
We do provide an option to request your preferred roommate and we will work to make that possible, however, sometimes rooming configurations may not allow exact pairings.
How much cash do I need for the two weeks?
No more than $40 might be needed depending on souvenirs and random snacks your child might want to buy.
What do we wear for our tour concerts?
- Men - black pants, black shoes, black socks and polo shirt. We will provide you with the polo shirt.
- Women - black pants, black closed toe shoes and polo shirt. We will provide you with the polo shirt.

What happens if I lose my dorm key or fob?
We suggest that you don't. We will provide a lanyard for your use. A lost key or a lost fob each carry a $50 replacement fee.
Can you accommodate my food allergy?
Yes! We make every attempt to provide options for those with food allergies. Please let us know and we will keep both our campus dining service and host families appraised of your needs.
Should I bring my instrument or juggling balls?
We will be having a talent show, so please bring your instrument, ventriloquist dummy, juggling balls, sheet music, etc.
