Dr. Aaron Hill
Dr. Aaron Hill teaches oboe at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Mead Witter School of Music, where he also performs with the Wingra Wind Quintet. Before arriving in Madison, he lived in Virginia for eight years, teaching at the University of Virginia and James Madison University, performing with the Charlottesville Symphony, Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, and Wintergreen Festival Orchestra. He received his B.M. with Highest Honors from the University of Michigan, his M.M. and Artist Diploma from Yale University, and D.M.A. from James Madison University.
Dr. Stephanie Carlson
Instructor of oboe/Event host
Dr. Stephanie Carlson is instructor of oboe at Concordia. She currently performs with the Concordia Wind Quintet and the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony. Prior to her appointment at Concordia, she served on the faculty of the Atlanta Music Academy, where she maintained a large studio of high school students. She has performed with Symphony Orchestra Augusta, the GAMAC Chamber Orchestra, the Southern Wind Quintet, and others. She received her D.M.A. and M.M. degrees from the University of Georgia and her B.M. degree from the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music.
