Soccer player Laura Prosinski ’15, Billings, Mont., is the recipient of a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
She is one of 29 female NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship award winners in all of NCAA Division I, II and III. She is the only student-athlete from the MIAC to earn the award.
Prosinski becomes the ninth Concordia student-athlete in the past 12 years to earn the prestigious award. She is the second consecutive women's soccer athlete to earn the scholarship. Erika Swenson was awarded the NCAA scholarship in 2011.
The NCAA scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and are in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition.
Prosinski has a 3.99 grade point average. She is a nursing major and will be able to use the scholarship to continue her education in that field of study.
Prosinski was a four-year starter for the Concordia women's soccer team. She earned NSCAA All-North Region First team honors in both her junior and senior seasons.
