ART EXHIBITION TO OPEN AT CONCORDIA
The Cyrus M. Running gallery will present the art exhibition “Circulation” opening Monday, Nov. 6, and running through Friday, Dec. 8. A public reception will be from 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, in the gallery. An artists talk will be held at 4:30 p.m. during the reception.
This exhibition features individual work by each of three former studiomates Amanda Maciuba, Jenny Harp and Rachel Livedalen, and collaborative works circulated across geographic distance during the creative process.
The artists each create very different work, yet contemplate similar themes such as systems, boundaries and mark-making within their work. With similar approaches to print media, they each create variations of repetition within individual works. The process of layering and juxtaposition of marks and images inherent in print media play a unique and important role in each artist’s process.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. For more information call the art department at (218) 299-4623.
