The Orientation experience at Concordia introduces students to campus, academic life, student activities and college how-tos. Orientation occurs prior to the start of classes in the fall semester. New students are led by two upperclassmen Orientation Leaders and a faculty mentor.
The FYT Labs are an extended orientation program facilitated by an Orientation Leader. During the FYT Labs new students will dig deeper into important topics like: overcoming failure, how to manage time as a student, ways to meet new people in a new place, and campus resources.
Get to know other first-year students in your community (approximately 30 residents) and connect with your resident assistant (RA) who provides support, advice and programming. Topics include academic success, campus resources, communication and cultural competence.

- "[We talked about] the concept that you will fail and it's OK. You can grow from it."
