Is Fall Orientation mandatory?
Everything during Fall Orientation is designed to help you become more comfortable, more confident and more likely to have a positive transition to college life. You'll learn about resources, expectations and tips to be academically successful. For these reasons, Fall Orientation participation is highly encouraged, although it is not mandatory.
When can I move into my residence hall?
Residence halls open at 8 a.m. on move-in day. You should plan to go directly to the residence hall to which you are assigned. You should plan to have everything moved into your room by around 2 p.m., as the opening ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m.
While moving all of your belongings is ultimately your responsibility, there will be lots of people willing to help.
Those who live far away, participate in fall sports or have unique circumstances may be able to move in early. To inquire about early move-in, contact Residence Life at 218.299.3872.
Will offices be open on move-in day?
Representatives from the Admission, Business, Dining Services, Financial Aid, Payroll, Registrar, and Student Development and Campus Life offices will be available to assist you between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on move-in day in Lorentzsen Hall.
When will I receive my college ID?
If you will be living on campus AND you have already had your ID photo taken, you will receive your ID when you check into your residence hall. If you will live off campus, you must pick up your ID with the Dining Services representative between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on move-in day in Lorentzsen Hall, or any other day at the Dining Services office in the Knutson Campus Center.

How long may my parents stay?
Parents are asked to depart campus around 3:30 p.m. Orientation Clubs will gather at 4 p.m.
Do fall athletes need to attend Fall Orientation?
Although it is not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged that ALL new students attend Fall Orientation activities. Fall Orientation planners have collaborated with coaches to make sure that your schedule is balanced and you are getting the most out of both Fall Orientation and athletic team activities. Additionally, the people in your Orientation Club will share two or more classes with you, so it is beneficial to get to know them early on.
Do I have to read the Summer Book Read?
The Summer Book Read will be discussed in your Orientation Club with your faculty mentor, Orientation Leaders and other new students. The discussion will be the first of many intellectual conversations you'll have in and out of the classroom at Concordia. In most cases, your faculty mentor will also be one of your first semester course instructors, so you'll want to make a good impression by getting your first assignment done and participating in the discussion.
How can I get a parking permit for my car?
Parking is free at Concordia, but you must register your car and get a parking permit. Parking Services allows you to apply online for a permit and provides all the information you need about parking lots, policies and more.
Can I order my textbooks online?
Yes. It is convenient to purchase your textbooks online at the Cobber Bookstore. Online textbook ordering is available from July 15 to Aug. 18. Of course, you may purchase books, supplies, Cobber clothing and gifts in the store, too. A large selection of used textbooks will be available in the Cobber Bookstore during Summer Orientation in June. For added convenience, you may charge your textbooks to your Cobber ID account, which appears on your tuition statement.
Will I have time to get to know my roommate and floormates during Fall Orientation?
Yes. There will be some residence floor meetings and activities during which you'll meet other floormates and your Resident Assistant (RA). Your RA will also inform you about the community policies of the residence hall that keep the halls safe and comfortable for everyone.

I have lost my email username and password. What should I do?
