Brandon Toothaker has been a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Concordia College Athletics for more than a decade.
Toothaker comes to Concordia after spending two years as a graduate assistant for Division I Northern Iowa, as well as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Waterloo West High School in Waterloo, Iowa.
Toothaker started his track to becoming a collegiate strength and conditioning coach at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. He earned his bachelor's degree in Science in Health Promotion in 2009. During his final year at Emporia State, he was employed as a Student Assistant Strength Coach and dealt with the track and field athletes.
He then moved on to Cedar Falls, Iowa, where he started in the master's degree program in Kinesiology at Northern Iowa. Toothaker was a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Panthers from 2010-12. He worked with the football, volleyball, women’s basketball, and track and field teams at UNI. During his time at Northern Iowa, he became the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Waterloo West High School, where he was in charge of the strength and conditioning programs of all sports teams.
Toothaker earned his Master of Arts Degree in Kinesiology in 2011.
He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach (USAW).
