Dr. Darin J. Ulness

Darin J. Ulness holds the Dr. Nere Sundet Endowed Chair of Chemistry in the department of chemistry. Dr. Ulness graduated from Moorhead High School in 1989, earned a B.A. in chemistry and mathematics at Concordia College in 1993, and received his Ph.D. in chemistry at Cornell University in 1996. He is a recipient of an NSF CAREER award and the Henry Dreyfuss Teacher-Scholar Award. He has authored more than 50 scientific papers in the areas of noisy light spectroscopy, ultrafast spectroscopy, fractional/conformable derivatives, and lacunary functions.
