Dr. Donald A. "Chopper" Krogstad

Professor Chemistry

Donald “Chopper” Krogstad earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1992 and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1996. He has been a faculty member at Concordia since 2002. During this time, he has taught General Chemistry I and II (CHEM 127 and 128) as well as Spectroscopy (CHEM 344) and Advanced Inorganic (CHEM 462). Dr. Krogstad’s research centers around the synthesis and characterization of Pt and Ru based pharmaceuticals that selectively target cancer cells. During his free time, Professor Krogstad enjoys ice fishing, watching all types of sports on TV, and spending time with his family.
