Jacob Sobolik

Assistant Coach, Men's Basketball Athletics
Jacob Sobolik was started as an assistant coach for the Cobber men's basketball program June 2025.  
 
Before coming to Concordia, Sobolik served as a graduate assistant at Minot State University during the 2024-25 season and helped the Beavers advance to the NSIC Tournament Championship game and earn a spot in the NCAA Division II tournament. While at Minot, he handled a majority of the basketball operations, including scheduling logistics on road trips, planning youth camps and tournaments, and helping with recruiting.
 
Sobolik, who is originally from Moorhead, earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2024. While at MSUM, he served as a student assistant coach, where he helped with practice setup and aided in team travel, equipment management, and in-game tracking of statistics used for analytics. During his four seasons at MSUM, the Dragons posted an 80-30 record, posted two NSIC titles, and made four trips to the NCAA playoffs.
