Kenyon Wingenbach was named the full-time assistant coach for the Cobber women's basketball program in the spring of 2025.
Wingenbach came to Concordia after serving as the head coach for the West Fargo Sheyenne High School girls’ basketball program from 2021-25. Wingenbach led the Mustangs to the 2022-23 North Dakota Class AA East Region Tournament championship. Sheyenne finished third at the North Dakota State Tournament, the highest finish by the Mustangs in school history.
Wingenbach also helped Sheyenne qualify for the North Dakota Class AA State Tournament in three seasons and guided the Mustangs to the winningest 4-year stretch in program history.
Before coaching at West Fargo Sheyenne, Wingenbach was the assistant coach for the Bismarck Century girls’ program for 13 seasons from 2008-21.
He was named the 2016-17 North Dakota High School Coaches Association Winter Season Assistant Coach of the Year.
Wingenbach helped the Patriots win three North Dakota Class A State Championships, which included the only two undefeated seasons in school history. During that stretch, Bismarck Century won a program-record 42 consecutive games.
