Michael King joined the Concordia Advancement team in January 2026.
Originally from Michigan, his professional experience in higher education started at Bowling Green State University in Ohio as the assistant director of bands and director of athletic bands. An inspired transition to development work eventually brought his family to the Fargo-Moorhead area. Prior to joining the team at Concordia, he served as a director of development at the NDSU Foundation for the College of Science and Mathematics and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Michael’s family includes his wife, Robyn, a family nurse practitioner at Essentia Health, son, Cooper, and daughter, Juliet. He loves to cook, travel, hike, spend time outdoors, and recently has returned to his passion for music.
