Riccardo Facchini, who was hired in the summer of 2024, was born and raised in Brazil and brings a plethora of knowledge and experience to Concordia.
Facchini was most recently the Defensive Quality Control Coach for the Passing Game at Northern Illinois University. With Facchini's help, the defense saw success throughout the Division I ranks. Most notably, the Huskies were sixth in all of the FBS for pass yards allowed per game and 11th in passing efficiency.

Before coming to the United States, Facchini held numerous titles at Brazilian club Carlos Barbosa Ximangos. He started working with the defensive line and special teams coordinator for the expansion team and quickly worked his way up to Defensive Coordinator. After serving in that role for over a year, he was elevated to Head Coach where the club finished with a 4-2 record.
In the offseason, Facchini continues to grow the game of American Football in his home country and helps different clubs in a variety of roles such as Offensive Coordinator and Consultant.
