Jeanette “Jenny” Julson Gustafson ’82 was a proud Concordia Cobber, obtaining dual degrees in business administration and psychology. She was a cherished member of many communities: high school marching band, gymnastics, and softball teams. She was a life-long member of Mendota Heights United Church of Christ where she enjoyed singing in the choir and also served in many other capacities. A skilled member of the workforce, Jenny contributed more than 20 years of experience at Northwest Airlines, Wells Fargo, and Delta Airlines, among others.

Her most important community was her family, and she made the most of her time with her loved ones. Jenny married the love of her life, Todd, in 1989. She was the loving mother of Hanna and Ellen. Her daughters knew her as an abundant source of love and support, present at every band concert and gymnastics meet. After the successful “launch” of her daughters into adulthood, she enjoyed spending her free time attending concerts, traveling, and watching horse racing at Canterbury Downs with Todd. Many friends and family will remember Jenny carrying on the family tradition of hosting a yearly Kentucky Derby party (especially the mint juleps!).

This scholarship was created by her brother, Lloyd Raymond Julson Jr. ’78, in loving memory.

The purpose of the Jeanette Julson Gustafson Memorial Endowed Scholarship be awarded by the Office of Financial with preference for one or more students of any class pursuing a business or psychology degree.
