Established on 12.07.2017 by Edgar Marklowitz, Marlys Bjur, Dawn Rajewsky, and Carey Greenwald

From the first time they visited campus, the Marklowitz family felt at home at Concordia. They especially appreciate the friendly atmosphere, the faith-based values and the successful placement of graduates. Ed Marklowitz is the father of two Concordia graduates, Carey (Marklowitz) Greenwald and Dawn (Marklowitz) Rajewsky. In appreciation for the education they received and the financial assistance provided to them, Ed and Marlys wish to help other students. Ed is a lifelong farmer and Marlys is a retired elementary teacher. Carey studies education and Dawn majored in sociology. As such, they are excited to support students studying in these fields.

The Marklowitz Family Endowed Scholarship is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid with preference to students studying agribusiness, education, sociology or social work. Selection is based on scholastic achievement and financial need.
