Established on 06.18.1992 by Henry R. Peterson

Henry R. Peterson (Hank) was born on a farm in a log house in north Moorhead. In 1933, he married Corinne Foley from De Lamere, Nd. Hank was a successful farmer in the Moorhead, Glyndon area from the 1950s – 1980s, raising sugar beets, onions, and potatoes. They owned and operated the Hank Peterson Farms, Inc. in Clay County, Mn.  Hank also had a passion for beautifying his fields. Every year, he would plant acres of gladiolas along Highway #10 and give them away to friends. The original “Hank Peterson Farms” sign can still be seen on the north side of Highway #10 between Dilworth and Glyndon.

Corinne worked at Merchants Bank in Fargo for 10 years and then stayed home to take care of their two children, Sherry Watt '58 (Glyndon, Mn) and Karol Kay Rood '54 (Jacksonville, Fl). Hank died in 1987, and Corinne in 1991.

Hank and Corinne were very involved with Concordia College and were one of the first C400 members. Their two children are also C400 members. Hank and Corinne valued education and assisting young adults with financial need to continue their education.
